Demo Orchestrator

Ground systems · Kubernetes operator · open source

Provisions an isolated, persona-seeded demo environment on demand and tears it down when its time is up. An independent sweeper cleans up even if the operator is down, and the metrics below are computed from an append-only ledger, not typed in.

Provisioning
28.0 s p50 · 35.8 s p95 (n=10)
Cleanup

Demo Environment Kit

Propellant · demo data and pre-call checks · open source

Treats a demo environment like software. A one-sentence brief becomes a story file a person reviews, realistic HubSpot data that agrees with itself, and golden-path checks that run before every call. Dates are relative to today, so seeded data never goes stale, and reset only touches records the kit created.

  1. Describe the demo in one sentence or one story file
  2. Generate fixtures once with an LLM, validate, commit
  3. Seed HubSpot, every date relative to today
  4. Check four golden paths before the call
  5. Fix or fall back, then check again
Seeding
13.3–13.8 s p50 · 14.2–16.3 s p95, about 200 records per story (n=10 per story, three stories)
Checks
30/30 fresh seeds passed all four golden paths
Reset
5.9–6.0 s p50, removing only kit-tagged records
Agents
MCP server: an agent can create, seed, check, fix and reset a demo
Tested

Demo Access Agent

Range safety · AI agent · open source

One plain-language request becomes time-boxed, scoped access to a demo environment through Okta, and the access revokes itself. Authorization is checked live on every request, so a revocation lands in seconds instead of at the next login.

Provisioning
3.4 s median, 3.5 s p95, prompt to live membership
Cleanup
100% of expired grants, removed 1.4–3.3 s after expiry
Scope accuracy
12/12 permission-scope eval cases, on a three-tier model (read-only, editor, admin)
Tested
Live Okta Integrator Free Plan org, 2026-09-21
Built with
Node.js, Claude API, Okta Groups API, JSONL ledger
01234 s median 3.4 s p95 3.5 s
Provisioning time
01234 s 1.4–3.3 s
Time to revoke after expiry

BizBuyBot

Guidance · AI agent · open source, beta

Turns an AI coding CLI into a business-acquisition command center. It scans marketplace listings, scores each across five dimensions, and drafts the diligence checklist, the outreach and the letter of intent. It never submits or acts on its own; a person approves every step.

  1. Scan marketplace listings
  2. Evaluate on five dimensions, A–F, scored 1.0–5.0
  3. Track in the deal pipeline
  4. You approve
  5. Diligence checklist, outreach, letter of intent
Scoring
Five-dimension A–F evaluation, 1.0–5.0 score plus a written report
Benchmarks
SDE-multiple ranges and local figures sourced from Census SUSB 2022 and IRS SOI data
Runs in
Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex, Copilot
Built with
Node.js 18+, Playwright. MIT, released 2026-08

Demos

Flight log · keynotes, launches and builds

Past flights. Demos I built for keynote stages and sales teams, with the part I built named on each.

  • Ben & Jerry's B2B storefront on the keynote screen

    Unilever · Ben & Jerry's B2B storefront

Dreamforce keynote, shortly after Salesforce acquired CloudCraze. I built the demo storefront and the customer story: Unilever ordering through Customer 360 on Salesforce Commerce.

  • Kellogg's store-owner ordering app on the keynote screen

    Kellogg's · store-owner ordering

Dreamforce Commerce Cloud keynote. I owned and built the live demo, working from a storyboard with senior leadership to show the B2B Commerce experience.

  • adidas B2B reorder cart on the keynote screen

    adidas · B2B wholesale reorder

Salesforce Connections 2018 keynote. I built the Commerce Cloud B2B storefront.

  • Title slide of the deck: Enterprise Commerce Demo, Evan Harris

    Enterprise commerce demo

The initial customer journey demo mockup I built to coach the sales team: an enterprise commerce demo flow and how to pitch it.

  • Litmos · Consensus in 3 weeks

Showcased at DemoFest 2025 for rolling out Consensus, a demo automation platform, globally across every Litmos sales channel in three weeks. The impact was large enough that Consensus wanted to feature it in a keynote.

Experience

Launch profile · 2010–present

T-minus zero. Scroll to light the engines and watch my career lift off, one stage at a time. Each role does its job, separates, and hands off to the next.

Stage 1: Build

2010–2017

  • Demo Engineer, CloudCraze 2015–2017

A core technical resource for the global sales team while the company grew from $1M to over $10M ARR, becoming the leading Salesforce-native ecommerce platform before Salesforce acquired it.

  • Web Developer, Dream Factory 2013–2015
  • Web Developer, Homes.com 2010–2012

Stage 2: Scale

2017–2025

  • Demo Engineering Manager, Litmos 2022–2025

Owned pre-sales demo environments for a roughly 100-person sales organization and raised trial conversion by more than 20%. Built about 40 reusable accelerators, from ROI calculators to a global self-service demo hub.

  • Senior Solutions Engineer, Elastic Path 2021–2022

Owned and extended the demo environment, reducing demo failures, and guided prospects through technical trials and proofs of concept.

  • Senior Solutions Engineer, Salesforce 2017–2021

Built demos for Dreamforce keynotes across multiple years. Supported enterprise deals of $250K–$1M, with supported teams consistently at 100%+ of quota.

Stage 3: Orbit

2025–present

  • Demo Engineering Manager, ServiceNow 2026–present

Owns end-to-end demo readiness for Security Operations and Integrated Risk Management, from first-to-market demos for newly acquired products to demos for launches and keynotes.

  • Technical Product Marketing Manager, Maven Health 2026, contract

Migrated a library of about 20 demo assets to a new platform in under two months, ahead of the contract timeline.

  • Founder, Progress Digital / Demo Anywhere 2025–2026

Designed, built and launched an LLM-powered demo-creation product alone, covering product, engineering, marketing and sales. It was acquired in under a year.
